Stack Privacy Policy

Stack is a stacking game for Android. This policy explains what information the app collects and how that information is used.

Information We Collect

Offline play does not require an account. Guest online play uses a random account identifier. Optional Google sign-in links your Google identity to your game profile so you can recover your username and online scores. Google and Firebase process the account identifier, email and sign-in token for authentication. Your name, email and profile photo appear privately on the account and onboarding screens. The photo is fetched securely from your Google profile and is not added to your public game profile or analytics. Your Google name and email are never shown on the leaderboard. The app does not request your contacts or precise location.

The app may collect:

• A random account identifier used to protect your online records.
• Your chosen public username and tower records by difficulty.
• Local game progress, settings, and saved rivals.
• Username searches sent to Firebase to find other players. Search text is not included in analytics events.
• Verified cosmetic pack entitlement status, where applicable.
• Aggregate usage analytics, such as screen visits, onboarding steps, runs, optional sign-in outcomes, offer views and verified purchases.
• Crash and diagnostic data if crash reporting is enabled.

How We Use Information

We use this information to:

• Save your records and compare them with players you choose to follow.
• Reserve your username and prevent other players from editing your profile.
• Send play reminders if you enable them and grant notification permission.
• Preserve existing purchases and diagnose reliability problems.

Sharing

Stack uses service providers to operate the app, including Google Firebase, Google Play, and Google Play Billing. These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy practices.

We do not sell personal information.

Your online username and scores can be found by other signed-in players. Saved rivals stay on your device. Tilt sensor readings are used locally for gameplay and are not uploaded. They are not sampled while the game is paused or the app is in the background.

Remote Configuration

Firebase Remote Config controls available features, optional offers, celebration timing, and reminder frequency. It uses installation and configuration data. It does not override your reminder permission or change gameplay during a run. Aggregate usage events may include completed runs, layer counts, difficulty, celebrations, and offer views. These events do not include usernames, emails, Google identities, purchase tokens, or payment details. Firebase Analytics also uses an app-instance identifier and derives coarse location from masked network IP addresses for aggregate reports. Stack does not request location permission, read GPS, or collect precise location.

Payments

When available, the optional Style Pack unlocks cosmetic themes and extra music through Google Play. The app sends a purchase token and product identifier to a protected server to verify and restore the purchase. Verified entitlements are cached on your device. Purchase records are retained for verification, restoration, and refund handling. The app does not receive or store full payment instrument details.

Ratings

After you have played, Google Play may offer its native rating card. Google handles the rating; the app cannot read your review or learn whether you submitted it. It records one launch attempt to avoid repeated prompts.

Data Retention

Online profiles retain your best records and the current daily records. You can delete your public profile from the username screen; this removes its username reservation and scores. Local records remain until you clear app data or uninstall. Android may back up local settings and progress according to your device backup settings. Earlier version records and service diagnostics may be retained to provide support and prevent abuse.

You can delete a connected Google game account from Settings → Google account → Delete account, or through the Stack account deletion page. This removes your Stack authentication account, username reservation, and online scores. It does not delete your Google account. Purchase records may be retained for verification, refunds, and fraud prevention.

Children's Privacy

Stack is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not designed for children under 13.
